National Congress of American Indians Responds to Trump Tweet that Stalled Two Tribal Nations Bills

WASHINGTON — The National Congress of American Indians (NCAI), the oldest, largest and most representative American Indian and Alaska Native organization in the country, responded on Thursday to President Trump’s Wednesday tweet that stalled two bills intended to address concerns of tribal nations. Trump’s tweet – “Republicans shouldn’t vote for H.R. 312, a special interest casino Bill, backed by Elizabeth (Pocahontas) Warren. Trump’s tweet clearly demonstrated he does not know the true depth of issues facing Indian Country.
