Position Summary:

Red Lake Walleye is international known as a pristine product. The Red Lake Nation and Red Lake Incorporated are looking for a General Manager to oversee all aspects of operation within the Red Lake Fisheries. This is a full-time position with excellent benefit package.

Essential Functions:

• Leadership; direct employees; improving their skills, knowledge, and maintain high morale motivating and keeping them engaged and operations running smoothly treating employees with dignity and respect; creating an environment where the entire team does the same.

• Develops a comprehensive operating plan, communicates it effectively, and successfully executes the plan and delivers the desired results.

• Manages the timely delivery of high quality products to customers.

• Manages and utilizes highly efficient, streamlines, and robust process and systems in all areas (operationally and organizationally).

• Understands and analyzes cost/financial performance and implements actions for required results as well as provides accounting and billing oversight.

• Initiates comprehensive, timely and appropriate capital requests to maintain and enhance plant performance.

• Leads all efforts by example to provide the highest level of safety and environmental performance.

• Develop a workforce to achieve maximum employee utilization and satisfaction and periodically measure the effectiveness.

• Manages material supply chain to ensure timely deliveries, acceptable inventory levels, and uninterrupted production at minimum costs.

• Complies with all Red Lake, Inc. policies and procedures and any external regulatory requirements including FDA rules and HACCP.

• Proactively analyzes and manages all relative operations performance and reports regularly on issues and progress.

• Problem – solving skills: quickly ascertain a situation and be decisive in solving it.

• Leads & manages sales forecast for annual & daily operation.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have a proven and successful track record in working within the fishing industry

• B.A. or B.S. in Business Management and manufacturing management background preferred.

• Possess the ability to communicate orally and in writing with diversified groups of people.

• Possess proven analytical skills in management, leadership, problem solving, and team building.

• Must possess a strong business background and ability to maintain accurate records.

• Possess strong orientation for excellent service to customers.
