Robert Bedeau, Jr., age 54, of Red Lake, Minnesota left this earth and those he loved on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota, with his girlfriend Kelly Schoenborn by his side. He was born on April 20, 1964 to Robert Bedeau, Sr. and Elaine Alice (Rumpea) Bedeaul

Robert was a self-proclaimed jokester and kept his family and friends on their toes. He was a devout Christian who spent much of his time reading the Bible and in prayer. He enjoyed a good story, both telling them and writing them, as well as writing poetry. Playing guitar and listening to music were his passions. He was a giant Prince fan. He was also a fan of old movies, especially the black and white ones, which brought him to the library on the hunt for another or a good book to read. He loved to cook, and family said, “He could burn anything.”

Robert attended Patrck Henry High School, Minneapolis. He went on to attend Haskell Indian Junior College, Lawrence, Kansas and Missouri Valley College in Marshall, MO. He majored in Human Services and Recreational Administration. It was a college that Robert excelled in basketball, becoming the scoring leader in the Junior College Divisions 1 and 2 in all of Kansas, scoring 1,653 points in two years averaging 34 points per game. He was one of the best basketball players in all of Indian Country. With his education, Robert worked as an addiction counselor t Northern Winds Treatment Center in Redby, Minnesota.

Those that preceded Robert in death include his mother, an infant sister, Michelle, maternal grandparents, Bud and Helen, Todd and father-in-law, Don Bread.

He leaves behind daughters Blessing and Aryana Bedeau and a son, Jeremy Bread; grandchildren HainMay Pelkey and Honor Whiteman, as well as his father, Robert Bedeau, Sr.; a brother, Chris Bedeau; his girlfriend Kelly Schoenborn and her parents, Cheryl Schoenborn and Oran Beaulieu and many nieces and nephews.
