One Man Sent To Hospital After Being Shot In The Leg In Bemidji

One man was sent to the hospital, Sunday, after he was shot in the leg in Bemidji. The incident happened early Sunday morning at 2:58 a.m.

Bemidji Police Officers and Beltrami County Sheriff Deputies responded to the area of 8th Street NW and Park Avenue on a report of several gunshots heard by people in the area.

Upon arrival, officers discovered an 18-year-old male who appeared to have been struck with a shot gun round to the leg. The man was transported to Sanford Hospital for treatment.

The Bemidji Police Department says information is limited at this time, although this does appear to be an isolated incident and there does not appear to be a threat to the general public.
