HILL CITY, MN - A Bemidji man is in custody following a police chase which ended near Hill City.
According to the Aitkin County Sheriff's Office, authorities pulled over Bobby Donnel Sr., 40, for a routine traffic stop on April 5th.
An Aitkin County Sheriff's Deputy determined an infant was in the back seat, and Donnel originally gave a false name and birthday.
Afterwards, he led police on a chase, and began throwing items out of the window, which were later determined to be meth and other paraphernalia for smoking meth.
Authorities were able to use stop sticks to deflate the tires and end the chase.
The infant was placed in protective custody.
Donnell has been charged on 8 different counts.
Authorities say the recovered more than 69 grams of meth.
