Trial of former Yakama tribal police officer continued to July

YAKIMA, Wash. — A jury trial for a former Yakama Nation tribal police officer indicted on federal child pornography and drug charges last summer has been continued to July 15.

Lorenzo Elias Mendez was set to face trial April 15 in U.S. District Court in Yakima. His attorney, Kenneth Therrien, has been granted four motions to move the date.
