History Center's 'Bands on the Boulevard' Takes on First Avenue this Summer

The History Center's popular "Bands on the Boulevard" free outdoor concert series features local acts from the First Avenue scene this summer. Concerts run every Tuesday evening in July. The lineup includes:

• July 2 - Porcupine

• July 9 - Heiruspecs

• July 16 - Monica LaPlante

• July 23 - Lena Elizabeth

• July 30 - Nooky Jones

Concerts run 6:30-8 p.m. Visitors can bring a lawn chair and pack a picnic or purchase food from Market House by D'Amico. Plus, come early to view the new exhibit First Avenue: Stories of Minnesota's Mainroom. Admission to the History Center is free every Tuesday, 3-8 p.m.

Bands on the Boulevard is presented by Xcel Energy and The Current. The First Avenue exhibit is made possible in part by presenting sponsor, Baird.
