BP: White Earth Nation to hold special election to replace Tibbetts

WHITE EARTH -- White Earth Nation will hold a special election to replace Terry Tibbetts, the Ojibwe band’s chairman and longtime public servant who died earlier this month.

If more than two eligible candidates file for the office, a special primary election will be held June 4, tribal leaders announced Tuesday.
