Reported fight leads to chase and arrest in Red Lake county

RED LAKE COUNTY, MN The incident started at a gas station in Red Lake county where officers found a woman with a bloody face. The woman said she had been assaulted by her boyfriend Joe Johnson and gave a description of him and the car he left in to deputies.

Deputies spotted the vehicle and they followed it but at one point the car briefly stopped before continuing on. Once the car was stopped investigators say the driver got out and ran. They arrested Zach Grochow who deputies say he admitted to dropping off Johnson in a field.

Johnson was arrested later after a brief manhunt. He was booked on charges of 3rd degree burglary, 5th degree domestic assault and fleeing. Grochow was arrested on charges of felony fleeing in a motor vehicle, fleeing on foot and reckless driving.
