Experts say college gambling a public health concern

Along with March Madness comes NCAA Tournament brackets and friendly wagers among collegiate sports fans. But experts say that problem gambling among college students is more than a game.

“Depending on which study you look at anywhere from 15-20 percent of college age students have a gambling problem,” Pitt Community College Admissions Counselor Karen Albrecht said at a recent North Carolina Problem Gambling Program event on campus.
