Frederick York, age 4, of White Earth, MN, died unexpectedly, Monday, March 18, 2019, at his home.

Frederick Elijah York was born on December 30, 2014 to Daniel York and Emma LaRoque in Detroit Lakes, MN. Freddy grew up in White Earth where he attended Head Start. He could often be found sharing his contagious giggle while flying kites, cuddling, or just playing around. He was born to be a musician with a love for singing and playing drums. Freddy treasured spending time with his big brother following in his footsteps and playing legos, hide-n-seek, and wrestling. He dreamed of being a hero one day as he spent countless hours dressing up as a superhero. He also enjoyed spending time swimming, snowmobiling, and spending time with his daddy, especially playing in cars. Freddy was full of life equipped with a mind of his own that truly made others smile.

Freddy is survived by his father, Daniel York; foster brother, Harley LaChapelle; grandparents, Donald York, Laurie Vilas, and Michael and Jean LaRoque; his aunts: Laurie (Casper) York, Mareena LaRoque (Aaron Spaulding), and Mikaela LaRoque (Bruce Mortenson Jr.); his uncles: Scott York, Jeff York, Jon Guenther, Allen Hamm, Michael Hamm, Ted Murray, and Jim (Emily) Barto; as well as many cousins, friends, and extended family.

A Funeral Service, together with his mother, Emma, and brother, Shane Jr., will be held on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 11:00 am at the White Earth Community Center in White Earth, MN. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at the White Earth Community Center and continue until the funeral service. A Prayer Service will begin at 6:00 pm on Sunday evening.
