NRCS SWCD Local Work Group Meeting Scheduled March 21st

The USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service and our partners are hosting Local Work Group meetings again this year. Local Work Group meetings are a valuable part of the NRCS planning process, providing an opportunity for local land managers to be part of a collaborative effort to improve natural resources within your county. The purpose of a local work group is to provide input to NRCS concerning the implementation of conservation programs.

The Local Work Group meeting will be Thursday March 21, 2019, at 11:30am at the Beltrami County Administration Building at 701 Minnesota Ave NW, Bemidji MN, 56601. This meeting will be after the Beltrami County Soil and Water Conservation District Board Meeting.

The public meeting is planned as part of a joint effort by the NRCS and the Beltrami County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) to engage more participants in the conservation process in Beltrami County.

Local Work Groups provide input to the District Conservationist of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) on local natural resource priorities and criteria for conservation activities and programs. Topics of discussion will include prioritizing resource concerns for Beltrami County for Fiscal Year 2020.
