Lady Warriors, who haven't played since January, take down Cass Lake 75-66 - P16

RED LAKE - The Cass Lake Lady Panthers traveled to Red Lake on Monday, February 11, 2019 and were on a 9-game winning streak. Red Lake's Lady Warriors hadn't played since January 18th when they defeated Clearbrook-Gonvick in Red Lake 82-51. In December, Red Lake defeated the Lady Panthers 73-57 in Cass Lake.

At the tip-off, Cass Lake scored first and were off to a quick start. But the Lady Warriors came back and finally took the lead midway through the first half, ending at 35-30.

They continued to exchange baskets in the second half, before Red Lake finally got a ten point lead, then held on to that for the win, 75-66.

Four Lady Warriors finished the night in double figures. Angel McClain led all scorers with 22 points, Autumn Holthusen netted 20, Gerika Kingbird added 18 and Kelanna McClain put in 12.

Trina Headbird led the Panthers with 17 points, Danae Wilson added 12 and Taryn Frazer had 10 points.

Red Lake moves to 13-4 on the season while Cass Lake dropped to 15-9.

The Lady Warriors will travel to Laporte on February 12th, Clearbrook-Gonvick on February 14th, Pine River on February 15th for a 1 PM game, will host Blackduck on February 19th and travel to Roseau on February 21st.

Four games were not played because of winter storms and those dates of makeup games, if any, are not known at this time.
