Robert Leonard Chavez, age 54 of St. Paul, Minnesota passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019. Robert was born on June 10th, 1964 the son of Humberto and Gregoria (Garcia) Chavez in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was a hard worker who loved to travel, making friends wherever he went. Robert loved his family, his grandchildren were very important to him and he enjoyed spending time with them. Dancing was one of his favorite things to do. He spoke whatever was on his mind and would try anything once.

Robert is survived by his mother: Gregoria Chavez significant other; Anne Bluhm; sons: Christopher (Kellye)Thull and David (Shantell) Cotter; daughter; Cesley Chavez; 8 grandchildren; brothers: George Chavez, Ruben Chavez; sisters: Gloriann Gallegos, Belinda Chavez, Jennifer Chavez, Diana Thompson, Angela Velachek and Rita Havan, also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Humberto, brother Humberto Jr., daughter Mariann

Funeral services for Robert Chavez will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 11:00 am to 12:00 (Noon) at Division of Indian Works, 1671 Summit St. Paul, Minnesota 55105.

Friend Luke Ellis will lead the service

Casket Bearers are Richey Fuller, Brandon O’ Brien, Tommy O’ Brien, Ehrique Chavez, Antonio Chavez, Mark Bluhm, Mikko Pippenger, Rigoberto Gallegos.

Honorary Casket Bearers are all his family, relatives and friends.

Interment will be held at the Union Cemetery in St. Paul. Minnesota.
