Headwaters Open-mic CoffeeHouse

Headwaters Open-mic CoffeeHouse is pleased to announce Annalise Aakhus and Mattea Elhard as co-hosts of the upcoming event on Friday, March 1 from 7 to 10pm at Headwaters Music and Arts in Bemidji. Sign-up begins at 6:30.

Aakhus and Elhard, voice teachers at Headwaters, are excited to join in an evening of music and performance with the community. They look forward to hearing the works of others and sharing a few songs of their own. Mattea promises a sing-along.

Held on the first Friday of most months, Headwaters Open-mic CoffeeHouse features music and spoken word performance in a family friendly environment. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to sign up for a 10 to 15 minute set. Performers and audience alike appreciate the welcoming tone and reasonable fee, $3/person or $7/family. Good coffeehouse fare is provided by Cabin Coffee House & Cafe.

Trained musicians, Aakhus and Elhard are passionate about their work. Each has studied music education at BSU and is a graduate of Bemidji High School.

Headwaters Open-Mic CoffeeHouse is a volunteer-led community event. Contact John Henningsgaard at 444-9845 for more information.
