A man in a security guard’s uniform claimed he feared for his life when he fired five gunshots through a school bus windshield along a busy Minneapolis interstate, seriously wounding the 78-year-old driver with a little girl aboard, according to felony charges filed Thursday.
Kenneth W. Lilly, jailed since Tuesday in connection with the gunfire that wounded the driver that afternoon along Interstate 35W south of downtown, was charged in Hennepin County District Court with attempted second-degree murder and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.
