Infamous Covington High School Student Lawyers Up, Gets Ready To Pursue Defamation Claims

Oh, great. We haven’t heard the last of Nick Sandmann. For those goldfish in the audience who can’t remember the scandals of last week without CliffsNotes, Sandmann is the smug Covington High School student whose visage went viral after a confrontation with Native American activist Nathan Phillips.

Now, according to new reports, Sandmann has hired a lawyer, Atlanta-based attorney L. Lin Wood. Unsurprisingly, the legal strategy he is pursuing doubles down on the narrative of Sandmann as a victim, saying his client “did absolutely nothing wrong or inappropriate in connection with the incident to deserve the heinous accusations made against him by uninformed or agenda-driven individuals and media entities.” And promising lawsuits would follow:
