Lucille Turner, age 86, of Naytahwaush, MN, died on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at St. Mary's Essentia Health, Detroit Lakes, MN.

Lucille M., the daughter of Steve and Nellie (Sullivan) Bellanger, was born on February 16, 1932 in White Earth, MN. She grew up in the Naytahwaush, MN area and attended school in Flandreau, SD for several years. On December 14, 1951, Lucille was united in marriage to Thomas "Barney" Turner and the couple began their family a short time later. They were blessed with five children: Mike, Patricia, Bruce, Lynette and Terence. In addition to raising her children, Lucille worked as a seamstress for the sewing factory for most of her career. Once retired, Lucille enjoyed spending time reading, playing Solitaire and going to the casino. She also loved to watch old black and white TV shows, the news, and many game shows during the day. Lucille adored her family and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Her soft spoken and gentle nature was known to all. Lucille was always there to help and was a strong and faithful presence in her family's lives. She will be deeply missed.

Lucille is survived by two sons, Bruce Sr. and Terence; two daughters, Patricia Turner and Lynette Straub; one daughter-in-law, Carol Turner; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Barney; one son, Michael; one grandson, Aaron; and several siblings.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Naytahwaush, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
