Warriors improve to 7-6 with 71-62 win over Mahnomen-Waubun - P5

RED LAKE, MN - The Red Lake Warriors upped their record to 7-6 on the season with their 71-62 win over Mahnomen-Waubun on Monday, January 14, 2019.

The Warriors scored first and led throughout the game, leading by 21 points in the first half, 41-20.

Mahnomen outscored Red Lake in the second half, 42-30, and as they got to within 7 of Red Lake, time ran out giving the Warriors the victory, 71-62.

Riley Chaboyea led all scorers with 22 points on the night, David Smith added 12, and Delwyn Holthusen Jr., Aaron Chaboyea and Andre Harrison each had 9.

Tristin Spalla led the Thunderbirds with 18 points, Tanner Pazdernik added 16, Jayden Heisler 12 and Buster Walker 11 points.

Red Lake is now 7-6 on the season while Mahnomen drops to 7-3.

Red Lake will travel to Kelliher-Northome on January 17th, host Nevis on January 22nd and host Blackduck on January 25th.
