...WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON CST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills 25 below to 35 below zero expected. Actual winds will be northwest at 5 to 8 mph overnight and Friday morning.

* WHERE...Northeastern North Dakota, much of the Red River Valley and into northwestern Minnesota.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to noon CST Friday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine to create low wind chills. Frostbite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of eastern North Dakota, west central and northwest Minnesota.

DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Colder air will arrive tonight and even though wind speeds tonight into Friday morning will be under 10 mph, wind chills will drop

into the 25 below to 35 below zero range over northeastern North Dakota, Red River valley and most of northwestern Minnesota.

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Wind chills of 25 below to 35 below will once again be widespread Friday night and Saturday morning and Saturday night and Sunday

morning particularly in northeastern North Dakota, the Red River Valley and northwestern Minnesota.

There is a risk of light snow Saturday night into early Sunday in the Valley City, Lisbon and Forman areas. Under 1 inch accumulation.
