Gov. Tim Walz and Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan held the first press conference of their administration after their inauguration at the State Capitol St. Paul, Minn.

As he was sworn in Monday, Minnesota's 41st Gov. Tim Walz doubled down on his promises to improve education, health care and the state's infrastructure.

At his inauguration ceremony at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, the former Democratic congressman from Mankato reiterated vows that won over Minnesotans this election season and emphasized his vision for "One Minnesota." He campaigned on the message, highlighting goals of governing in an inclusive way, bridging the urban-rural divide and making sure all Minnesotans thrive.
