Cassandra Rose Thunder, "NeNookaasi" (Humming Bird), age 47, of Minneapolis Journeyed to the Spirit World on Sunday, December 23rd, 2018.

She was born on January 10, 1971 in Hennepin, County the daughter of Alvin Thunder and Darlene Stone.

Survived by her sons: Devin Thunder of Minneapolis, Damien Mason of Minneapolis, Corey Thunder of Bemidji, Conner Thunder of Bemidji; fiancé Courtney Mason of Minneapolis; a brother: Terrance Thunder Sr. of Minneapolis; a sister: Sophie Cochrane of White Earth; special daughter: Jolene Roberts of Minneapolis; three grandchildren: Devin Thunder Jr. of Cass Lake, Nanalie Mason-Weyaus of Minneapolis and Azera Thunder of Cass Lake; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents: Alvin Thunder Sr. and Darlene Stone, a brother: Alvin "Stu" Thunder Jr.' best friend (BFF) Queen Leona Flores and by a nephew Trinidad Flores.

Funeral services for Cassandra Rose Thunder will be held on Thursday, January 3rd, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at Gichitwaa Kateri Catholic Church in Minneapolis. Shawn Phillips will officiate.

A Wake will be held on Wednesday, January 2nd beginning at 7:00 P.M. to all night at Gichitwaa Kateri Catholic Church.

Casket Bearers will be Mark "Guffy" Klein, Joseph Thunder, Muck-Wa Roberts, Justin Stone, Isaac St. Clair and Cody Skinaway.
