Geraldine "Geri" Mary Lou Wainscott of Cass Lake, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly at her home on December 25, 2018. Gerri was born in Cass Lake on October 10, 1952, to Louie "Hurricane" Jackson and Mary Jane Roberts. She was adopted when she was three years old and grew up in Augusta, Kansas where she went on to attend college for two years. She worked as a Service Representative for Southern Bell Telephone Company for ten years, and later for seven years for the US Post Office Encoding Center.

Gerri loved animals and served as an advocate for Red Lake Rosie's Dog Rescue. She was also a volunteer for Leech Lake Legacy animal rescue. She fostered many pets over the years, always supporting animal rights. Gerri enjoyed spending time with her grand-nieces and nephews and also loved going to the casino with her beloved son William and playing the slots. She had a generous heart and was always helpful to a fault.

Gerri was preceded in death by her parents, brother Steve Jackson and sister Renee Roberts and two infant siblings. She is survived by her son William David Davis II and daughter Erin Leigh Kern; sister Luann Garrett; and nieces and nephews.

Casketbearers are Dave Hare, Sr., Lucas Theriault, Charles Lussier, Clay Crawford Sr., Al White, and Tony Oehler.

A wake for Geraldine will begin Friday, December 28, at 4:00pm at the White Earth Community Center in Cass Lake, and will continue until the funeral service at 10:00am on Saturday, December 29. Arrangements are being handled by Dennis Funeral Home of Walker, Minnesota.
