Tribal Council Agrees To Reduced Pay

As the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe awaits a legislative decision on Capitol Hill, three members of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Council have decided to no longer accept salaries, but to volunteer their time.

Vice chairman Jessie (Little Doe) Baird and council members Winona Pocknett and Yvonee Avant decided to relinquish pay while other council members will take a reduction in salaries.
