Alexander “Alex” William Bellanger, age 26 of Minneapolis, MN, Journeyed to the Spirit World on Sunday, December 9, 2018. He was born on August 14, 1992 the son of William Bellanger and Charlotte Drumbeater-Voas. Alex had a very outgoing personality and was a positive person with a kind heart. He was a hugger, always willing to help out. He would volunteer with helping out the Elders. Alex had a love for life. He loved his family. He was very protective of them and cared deeply for his mother and daughter, Azariah Jackson. Azariah was his pride and joy. Alex liked to try new things, twice he went sky diving, saying it was the most amazing thing he had ever experienced, except for the birth of his daughter. He enjoyed making fry bread. Alex is very much loved and will truly be missed by many.

Survived by his mother: Charlotte Drumbeater-Voas; daughter: Azariah Jackson; mother of his daughter: Missy Jackson; grandmother: Gladys Sandland; adoptive grand-parents: Duaine Voas and Jo Kallemeyn; brothers: Brett Thorsen, and Michael Tanner; sister: Renae Tanner; uncles: Derek Bellanger Sr., Michael Grossoehme, Jeff Voas; aunts: Roxanne Blackbear and Gina Tanner; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded in death by his father: William Bellanger; grand-mother: Judith Bellanger; grandfather: William Matrious; great-grandmother: Caroline Dickenson; grandfather: Wayne Sandland; aunt: Sharon Drumbeater-Voas; uncles: Randy Voas; great aunt: Beverly Alan; and cousins: Brenda Swearinger and Everett Alan; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services for Alexander Bellanger were held on Tuesday, December 18th, 2018 at 11:00 AM at All Nations Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A wake was held on Monday, December 17th, 2018 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at all Nations Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Officiating was Mitch Walking Elk and Jim Bloom.

Drum Group was N.A.H. Heartbeat and Hoka Hey

Honorary Casket Bearers were Derek Bellanger Jr., Malik Matthews, Darwin G. Strong, Indian Neighborhood Club Family

Casket Bearers were Brett Thorsen, Derek Bellanger Sr., Brandon Howard, Travis Wilkins, Michael Bellanger, Todd Powell, Logan Allen, Richard Thompson Sr., James Pacheco

Interment was held at Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
