Levy to increase 5.83 percent; total budget comes in at $87 million

BEMIDJI—On a 3-2 vote Tuesday, the Beltrami County Board of Commissioners adopted both the 2019 budget and tax levy, which carries a 5.83 percent increase from 2018.

Beltrami County Administrator Kay Mack presented the proposed tax levy for 2019 at $23,477,089. Driven mostly by staffing changes and cost of living adjustments, the levy is ahead of the 2018 levy, which came to $22,184,233.
