THUNDERBIRDS BOUNCE BACK

Rob McClain has career high 40 points and 7 three pointers against Gillette College

United Tribes hosted Gillette College and Stone Child College at the Thunderdome this past weekend. The Thunderbirds fell to Gillette College 93-80 on Friday night despite a career high 40 points and 7 three pointers from Rob McClain Jr. Tribes fell behind early, but clawed their way back in the game in the second half and trailed by 2 points before Gillette went on a late run to seal the game. McClain also had 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 blocks in the game. Also reaching double figures for the Thunderbirds was Montel Carlow with 18.

On Saturday 6 Thunderbirds reached double figures in a 137-87 rout of Stone Child College. McClain once again led the way with his 10th double double of the season. He tallied 31 points, 11 rebounds, 6 steals, and 4 assists. Also reaching double figures were Montel Carlow with 22, Rob Beaulieu and Joe Sazue each finished with 16, Steve Redfox had 14, and Tyree Florence-Patton had 12.
