In reversal, judge allows Friday vote on Minneapolis 2040 plan

The Minneapolis City Council is once again poised to approve its 2040 comprehensive plan on Friday, after a judge denied an opposition group’s request to stop it.

The Thursday afternoon decision by Hennepin County District Judge Joseph R. Klein means the vote to submit the city’s development blueprint is going on as scheduled Friday. Klein had initially blocked the council’s vote Thursday morning, saying he needed up to seven days to make a decision on the lawsuit. His final order was filed hours later.
