Vanessa "Lulu" Cobenais

Vanessa "Lulu" K. Cobenais, 56, of Red Lake died surrounded by her family Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Red Lake IHS Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake, MN. A wake will begin at 11:00am, Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at the Red Lake Community Center, and will continue until the time of the service. Interment will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.

Vanessa was born November 20, 1962 in Red Lake, MN the daughter of Richard and Gloria (Cook) Cobenais. She was raised and educated in Red Lake, graduating from Red Lake High School in 1981. She worked at Red lake Images Programs as a Job Counselor, Red Lake New Beginnings as a Job Couselor, the Red Lake Middle School as a Cook, and for the Circle of Life PCA services. She enjoyed cooking, going for car rides, going to the casino, and entertaining her great nieces and great nephews. She had a wicked sense of humor. She always loved helping out family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her Mother- Gloria Cobenais of Red Lake

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, father, her companion Anthony Hanson, niece Brittany Cobenais, great nieces Jolieana Cobenais and Chrissa Neadeau, her brother Clayton, numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Honorary Casketbearers will be Glennora Bailey, Barb Stillday-Garrigan, Celeste Beaulieu, Jeanne Thunder, MiKayla Thunder, Marianne Brun, Ramona Stately, Lisa K. Defoe, Lavonne Infante, Wendell Cook, all of her nieces; Kayln and Alise Sargent, Cher and Amanda Beaulieu, Breanna and Brooke Neadeau, Jenelle, Terin, Jo, Karli, Cindy, and Mari Cobenais
