PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Billing Supervisor maintains revenue by establishing, implementing, and controlling billing system; supervising staff. Reports to Accounting/Finance Supervisor, full time position w/benefits, salary; DOQ.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Meets objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling employees.

• Communicates job expectations

• Plans, monitors job contributions

• Meets billing operation standards by contributing billing information for strategic plans and review

• Implements production and productivity, quality customer service standards

• Resolves billing problems

• Identify billing system improvements

• Meets billing financial standards by providing annual billing budget information

• Monitors expenditures, identifies variances

• Meets objectives by measuring billing results against plans, evaluating and improving methods; makes required changes

• Guide employee action by researching, developing, writing, updating billing policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.

• Obtains revenue by resolving order and invoice disputes; maintaining customer relations, resolving problems with bank transfers.

• Approves credit memo by reviewing documentation

• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications

• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates Degree in general accounting, business, medical billing and coding preferred

• Must have supervisory experience

• Proven experience as billing clerk or general accounting experience

• Must have Electronic Health Records billing experience, Procentive experience preferred

• Must have experience working with the Minnesota Health Care Program

• Experience working with consolidated chemical dependency treatment fund (CCDTF) preferred

• Organizational credentialing experience preferred

• Track budget expenses, financial skills, develop budgets, process improvements, supervise, problem solve

• Must be able to multi-task

• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral

• Must have a valid Minnesota Driver's license and auto insurance

• Employment contingent upon successfully passing Pre-Employment Drug/Alcohol Test and Background Check
