Whether we know it or not, we owe aspects of our government, our respect for our environment, and even our identity to the diverse Native American cultures who once roamed this land, and the two million or so who are still our neighbors today.
Although most know the classical Thanksgiving story where the Wampanoag Indians taught the pilgrims how to survive, there are countless other lessons Native Americans have shared across the continent and the centuries.
