Minnesota charities reap millions in donations on Give to the Max Day

Millions of dollars poured into Minnesota charity and school fundraising accounts Thursday for Give to the Max Day, the unofficial statewide giving holiday.

With more than $18 million raised by 8:45 p.m., organizers of the annual event were within striking distance of besting last year's record total of $20.6 million.
