Juvenile male injured after finding loaded handgun home

BELTRAMI COUNTY, MN-On Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at approximately 5:42 PM, the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office was called to the Sanford Hospital- Bemidji Emergency Department for a report of a subject sustaining a gunshot injury. The investigation revealed that a 10 year old juvenile male sustained the injury after he discharged a .22 caliber handgun that he found unsecured in the family's home.

An arrest from the incident was made and is pending formal criminal charges with the Beltrami County Attorney's Office
