Leonard William Blake, age 55, of Onamia, MN journeyed to the Spirit World on November 10, 2018.

He was born on September 12, 1963 in Cleveland, OH the son of Karmen Blake Sr. and Anna Kills Thunder.

On August 19, 2007 he married Debra Pindegayosh. He loved going to Pow-Wows and listening to music. He was a proud grandpa, loved spending time with his family and taking care of his granddaughters. He liked to laugh and joke around. He enjoyed playing basketball and played it all through High School. Leonard was a hard-working man working as a pipefitter with Metropolitan Mechanical.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Debra Blake; sons Leonard Blake Jr. and Travis Blake; grandchildren Nalani Blake, Skyla Blake, Elektra Blake, Jurnee Blake, Hazel Blake and Kailie Malatore; brothers Kelcey Packineau, Karmen Blake Jr., Benjamin Blake Sr., and Nathaniel Blake; sisters Carol Silversmith and Bonnie Lightening; other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Leonard Blake will be held on Wednesday, November 14th at 10:00 AM at the Mille Lacs Band Community Center in Onamia, MN with Karmen Blake Jr. officiating. Interment at Woodland Cemetery in Onamia.

A visitation will be held on November 13th from 6-10 PM at the Mille Lacs Band Community Center in Onamia, MN.

Honorary Casket Bearers are Leroy Senator, Darrel Eastman, Max Highwalker, Bill Schaff and his old basketball friends.

Casket bearers are Eric Gahbow, Ed St. John, Todd Gilly, Darrel Thompson, Phil Harrington, Jeremy Harrington, Chaz Blake and Joe Charette.

Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, MN assisted the family with arrangements.
