Ring in the Holidays at Historic Sites Across Minnesota

As November arrives, MNHS historic sites are preparing for a wide range of events to mark the holiday season, including:

Alexander Ramsey House

Experience a Victorian-era Christmas with music, cookies and more on annual holiday tours. Plus, enjoy special "Little Women"-themed tours and a 19th-century New Year Celebration.

Charles Lindbergh House and Museum

Learn how the Lindbergh family experienced the holidays during wartime at A WWI Christmas. Or hike and snowshoe the trails between the Lindbergh House and Charles A. Weyerhaeuser Memorial Museum on New Year's Eve.

Forest History Center

Join the logging camp as it prepares for Christmas with sleigh rides, music, storytelling and more. Then enjoy a day of outdoor winter fun, including sledding and a giant snowball slingshot, at Northwoods Holiday Fest.

James J. Hill House

Discover how the Hills, their servants, and the rest of Summit Avenue celebrated the season on a guided tour, or a self-guided option every Saturday.

Mill City Museum

Hop on the museum's Flour Tower elevator ride for performances of "An 'Eventually' Christmas: Holidays at the Mill." Or explore holiday traditions from around the world while baking up a tasty treat in special parent-child workshops.

Mille Lacs Indian Museum and Trading Post

Learn to craft unique holiday ornaments out of birch bark at an afternoon workshop.

Minnesota History Center

Explore Minnesota's Somali community through art activities and performances during Thanksgiving break. Then during winter break, kids can experience December in the North Woods, including appearances by Paul Bunyan.

Oliver Kelley Farm

Special tours explore how the Kelley family celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas on the farm in the mid-19th century. Plus, craft your own farm out of gingerbread at a family workshop.
