Historian and author examines jingle dress tradition during Oct. 29 lecture at MSU

Brenda J. Child, Northrop Professor and chair of the Department of American Studies at the University of Minnesota, will give the third talk in the Center for Western Lands and Peoples' Perspectives on the American West Lecture Series on Oct. 29.

Child's lecture, "Jingle Dress Dancers in the Modern World" is set for 6 p.m. at the Museum of the Rockies' Hager Auditorium and is free and open to the public. It will be followed by a reception in the museum’s lobby. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
