PROGRAM MANAGER
ABINOOJIIYAG NOOJIMOO WIGAMIG (CHILDREN'S HEALING CENTER)

Primary Function:
The Program Manager will oversee operations in a co-occurring mental health and substance use disorder residential and day treatment program for youth. This is a professional position requiring experience in staff supervision, youth program implementation, monitoring, caseload assignment, evaluation, and on-going youth therapy. Reports to the Juvenile Facility Director, full-time position w/benefits, salary; DOQ.
Responsibilities:
• Serves as the administrator of the Center's Treatment Program, with responsibility for staff recruitment, hiring, retention, evaluation and dismissal of employees, interns and volunteers.
• Directly supervises the Counselors
• Attends weekly staff meetings. Serves on the Youth Advisory Committee, comprised of professional staff, dealing in youth programming and disciplinary matters. Attends monthly staffing reviews for youth and targeted families.
• Assigns youth caseloads to the Counselors.
• Travels to the various member and other counties as necessary to meet with Court and other agency officials, youth and parents in in-home therapy sessions with the Counselors as may be required.
• Assists the Superintendent in commitment youth assignment and case management matters.
• Consults with Center professional staff in youth commitment/treatment planning matters.
• Assists in program and facility-wide assurance of security, physical plant maintenance, sanitation, and personal hygiene, health and safety integrity for youth clientele and staff.
• Provides for facility emergency operations and youth clientele medication dispensation.
• Carries out other duties as may be assigned by the Juvenile Facility Director.
• Responsible for coordinating all counseling, case management, education, recreation, assessment, referral, ensuring safety and healthy lifestyles for youth
• Develop proactive strategies management for juvenile case management plans identifying the community and/or state services that will prevent juvenile offenders from committing more offenses and help them become responsible Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indian citizens
• Testify at hearings or trials regarding court involved youth as needed
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Social Work with clinical experience is preferred (Licensure track certified clinical supervision will be provided).
• A Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) is preferred.
• Mental Health Practitioner will be considered.
• Experience working with Indian community is preferred
• Knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, Access, Excel and Microsoft Outlook is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
• Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
• Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
• Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
• Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Red Lake Nations Personnel Policies.
• Subject to pre-employment and annual state and federal background checks.
