Cambria® designed and hand-crafted the trophy for the PGA TOUR Champions event
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (September 17, 2018) – Cambria, the leading producer of made-in-America natural stone, announced that it will be the Presenting Sponsor of the 2018 Sanford International PGA TOUR Champions. The tournament will be hosted at Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, during the week of September 17-23.
In its inaugural year, the Sanford International will focus on charitable giving and making a lasting impact in the Sioux Falls region. This elite field features player’s from around the world including Colin Montgomery, Darren Clarke, Vijay Singh, John Daly, Steve Stricker and Tom Lehman, all battling for a share of the $1.8 million purse along with a Cambria’s designed trophy.

A main attraction at the tournament will be Club Cambria™. This facility was designed to be the largest single spectator area on the course with premium facilities for both public and private guests. Club Cambria is also the only venue on property to offer elevated views of the 10th and 18th holes. Club Cambria will feature an elegant Cambria bar in its Ella™ and Clareanne™ designs on the first floor, a bar with Brittanicca™ and Mersey™ designs on the second floor, lounge area installations, comfortable seating, large-screen TVs, and a trophy display featuring the Sanford International trophy created by Cambria and other iconic South Dakota golf trophies.
The Cambria Broadcast Zone is on the main level of Club Cambria and will host appearances by golfers and celebrities throughout the week. The main level of Club Cambria will offer access to all patrons, and the second level will be an all-inclusive VIP area providing spectators access to dining and beverage services in addition to an outstanding view of the 18th hole fairway. The Zone will feature a stunning Cambria bar with Skara Brae™ and Carrick™ designs.
The Sanford International champion’s trophy celebrates the first-ever PGA event in South Dakota and is made of Cambria Ella and Clareanne designs. Inspiration for the trophy’s foundation comes from the cascading falls of Sioux Falls while the platinum spiraling globe represents Sanford Health's pledge to expand its global network.
