Debra Bush, age 56, of Naytahwaush, MN, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Debra Kay Bush was born September 17, 1962, in Park Rapids, MN, the daughter or Leonard Bush and Louise “Loons” Rock. She attended school in Naytahwaush and was a graduate of Mahnomen High School. Following high school, she met Michael Roy, and the couple were blessed with 5 children. Years later the couple separated, and Debra remained a stay at home mom, continuing to live in Naytahwaush.

Debra enjoyed being outdoors. She loved spending time with her family play games like dice, cards, cribbage, and other board games, especially scrabble, which was her favorite. Debra also enjoyed cookouts with her family. She enjoyed the beautiful fall season and loved going for car rides in the hills appreciating the ever-changing color of the leaves. Debra loved watching movies and had quite the collection. Her true passion was her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, watching them happily play in the yard. Debra had a big heart and helped anyone in need. She will sadly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Debra is survived by three sons: Michael (Kayla) Bush, Shawn (Shawna) Bush, both of Naytahwaush, MN, and Travis (Sara) Roy of Mahnomen, MN; one daughter, Kay Roy of Naytahwaush, MN; 16 grandchildren; three brothers: Joseph Bush of Fairbolt, MN, Terry Bush of Akeley, MN and Jerry (Ellen) Bush of Mahnomen, MN; one sister, Sandi Paul of Albuquerque, NM, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Bush and Louise Rock; son, Corey Bush; one brother, Gary Bush; grandson, Brayden Buckanaga; and mother-in-law, Ardyce McCradie.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm on Monday, September 10, 2018, at the Naytahwaush Sports Complex in Naytahwaush, MN, and continue until the time of the Funeral at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, also at the Naytahwaush Sports Complex.
