Police: Gunfire, no injuries, near NY Native American powwow

SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. (AP) — Police say gunfire erupted near a Native American celebration that draws thousands of visitors on Long Island. A man was arrested, and no one was injured.

New York State police say troopers heard gunshots around 8 p.m. Saturday while providing security at the Shinnecock Indian Powwow at the tribe's reservation near Southampton. The event is open to the public.
