Members of Red Lake Tribal Council attend meeting in Minneapolis addressing the lack of housing and other services for Native people that led to "Tent City"

On Wednesday, August 29, 2018, Chairman Seki, Treasurer Johnson, and Secretary Strong met with Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, Representative IIhan Omar, Congressman Keith Ellison, Commissioner Mclaughlen and many other supportive staff and local leaders to discuss addressing the lack of housing and other services for Native people that has led to "Tent City".

They all committed to not only addressing the short term problems but a long term solution for Native people.

The group will be sending an invitation to all the tribal leaders in Minnesota to meet in the coming weeks to ensure that all Native people have access to housing and the necessary services to live a good life.
