PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Prepare and provides meals as well as ensuring as safe, clean, and sanitary environment. Report to Manager and Executive Director, part-time positions, salary; DOQ.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Prepare food by sanitary regulations and established policies and procedures

• Review menus before preparation of food

• Prepare meals by planned menus

• Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance

• Prepare food by standardized recipes and special diet orders

• Participate and help in projects assigned

• Recommend to the Manager the supply needs of the kitchen

• Report all hazardous conditions/equipment to the Manager immediately

• Assure all safety regulations are followed at all times by personnel

• Other duties assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• GED/High School Diploma

• PREFERRED: Serve Safe Certificate

• Knowledge of regulations and guidelines concerning food/meal preparations and services

• Must be able to prepare food for large numbers utilizing specific recipes

• Must participate in mandatory alcohol/drug testing when called upon

• Employment contingent upon successfully passing Pre-Employment Drug/Alcohol Test and Background Check
