Washington adopts new rules for discipline policies in public schools

YAKIMA, Wash. -- The state has adopted new rules for discipline in public schools, aimed at limiting the number of Washington students who are suspended or expelled.

Put in place by the state Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, the new rules:
