Marjorie Jeanine Hart Morgenstern, 65, of Red Lake, MN died peacefully Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Ecumen in North Branch, MN.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Red Lake Community Center. A wake will begin on Monday at 2 pm at the Red Lake Center and continue until the time of the services on Wednesday. Interment will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.

Marge was born August 14, 1952 in Red Lake, the daughter of Francis and Dora (Lussier) Hart.

She was raised and educated in Red Lake. And later received a degree from BSU. Marge worked in the title IV program for ISD 361 in International Falls for several years and was a great advocate for Native on non-Native students alike. Marge accepted many children in need into her home and cared for them as if they were her own, many still call her "mom" to this day. She had a great impact on many people's lives and was very giving and caring. Marge deeply enjoyed various types of music and loved to travel.

She is survived by her sons – Sky Morgenstern of Isanti, MN

Rion Morgenstern of Grand Forks, ND

Nodin Morgenstern (Holley) of Duluth, MN

Grandchildren- Morgan, Ryan, Aiden and Gwyneth

Siblings- Farrell (Marilyn) Hart of Lorretto, MN,

Muriel Stewart of Red Lake, MN,

Sammi Jo (Jim) Maher of Coon Rapids, MN,

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Giles, Howard, and Milton, sister Sherrill Lindquist, nephews and nieces Laurel Stewart, Mark Hart, Julian Hart, Howard "Sonny man" Hart and Quinton Roy Sr.,

Active Casket bearers will be Frank Harla, Vincent Rushman, Lloyd Grover, Paul Hawk, and her two grandchildren Ryan and Aiden.

Honorary Casket bearers will be Rekoe Graves-Hart, Jarret and Garret Caldwell, Dave Dickson, Tommy Ravensborg, Bill White, Lance Hart and residents of JPECC
