Fort Totten Man Serving Life for 2016 Slaying Loses Appeal

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Fort Totten man serving life in prison for a killing on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation two years ago has lost an appeal.

Dallas Thundershield was convicted of fatally stabbing 52-year-old Richard DeMarce in the heart on April 9, 2016, and critically injuring another man. Authorities said he used his vehicle, his booted foot and a knife as weapons during a fight.
