Jason Metsa Endorsed by SMART-TD Minnesota Railroad Workers

VIRGINIA, MN – Today, Jason Metsa announced the endorsement of SMART-TD Minnesota Railroad Workers.

“Representative Metsa has shown great leadership for Northeastern Minnesota at the Minnesota State Capitol. He has stood up for rural Minnesota and worked in a bipartisan manner to find compromise across the political aisle,” said Nick Katich, SMART-TD Assistant State Legislative Director. “Having served three terms at the Legislature and from his work for railroad safety, Representative Metsa has earned strong support from railroad labor and our many retirees.”

SMART-TD’s endorsement joins elected officials, and unions in their support of Metsa’s campaign, including, Teamsters Joint Council 32 and Local 120, United Steelworkers (USW), United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 1189, Iron Range Building and Construction Trades, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 294, Education MN Local 1406, Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 489, Boilermakers Local 647, and Virginia Firefighters Union Local 390.
