BP: Red Lake man pleads not guilty to shooting, robbery

DULUTH—A Red Lake man accused of a November armed robbery and later shooting on the reservation pleaded not guilty to multiple charges in federal court July 30.

Derek Jon Paddy, 22, appeared in court in Duluth for two separate hearings, during which he pleaded not guilty to one count of assault with a dangerous weapon, one count of discharging a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence, one count of second-degree burglary and one count of robbery.
