BP: Bemidji Speedway raises the stakes on Kids Night

BEMIDJI -- The largest grandstand crowd of the year to date witnessed 98 cars race on Kids Night at Bemidji Speedway on Sunday. It was also Race of Champions qualifier night with feature winners in the Wissota Mod Fours, Wissota Midwest Modifieds, Wissota Super Stocks and Wissota Modifieds qualifying and representing Bemidji Speedway at the Wissota Race of Champions later this fall at Huron, S.D.

Being Kids Night, prizes were given away during intermission. This year, 14 bikes were donated by the Wittner/Headbird racing team and Leech Lake Gaming. Racers also donated T-shirts, gift cards for pizzas and -- special this year -- 92 backpacks filled with school supplies that were given to kids in a raffle.
