Steven Wayne Neadeau, Sr., age 51, of Bemidji, Minnesota journeyed to the spirit world on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota. Steven was born in Minneapolis, MN on November 16, 1966, the son of Beverly Jean Neadeau and Robert Oakgrove.

Steven was raised and grew up in Minneapolis, MN and later moved back home to Red Lake, MN. Most recently he lived in Bemidji, MN until the time of his passing. Steven graduated from Pine City High School in 1984 and went on to technical college in Detroit Lakes, where he studied heavy equipment operator and mechanical. Steven worked various jobs. He was a heavy equipment operator, commercial fisherman and as a mechanic for the Red Lake Group Home, which he loved to do best. He loved to "fix things". Steven enjoyed cooking. He would always "chef up" big for himself and others. He was very outgoing, loved to joke around and make people laugh. Steven was a character and his great sense of humor made him friends wherever he went. He will be missed.

Family that welcome Steven to the spirit world are his mother; Beverly Jean Neadeau, father; Robert Oakgrove, grandmother; Virginia Neadeau, aunts; Thelma Bagley and Agnes Roy, uncles; Tony and Pete Neadeau and Leroy Lajeunesse, nephew; Tory John Cloud, and cousins; Rodney Neadeau and Crusher Roy.

He leaves behind his children; Steven Neadeau, Jr. and Sandi Beaulieu, sister; Jacqueline (George) Neadeau, uncles; John "Jack" Neadeau and Willard LaJeunesse, aunt; Rita Neadeau, nieces; Koreen Neadeau and Shantel Neadeau, nephews; Tyler and Kyle Cloud, special brothers; Sam and Tony Hill, special sister; Carmen Roy, special aunties; Shirley Lussier, Melba "Punkin" Roy and Diane Roy, numerous other family members and many friends.

A wake for Steve will begin at 3:00 p.m., Monday, August 6th and continue until his 10:00 a.m. traditional service on Wednesday, August 8th all being held at the Old Little Rock Community Center in Red Lake, MN. Waa-maajaa'iwed is Steve Jackson. Pallbearers for Steven are Mike Sather, Merwin Hill, Sam Hill, Tony Hill, Keenan Sayers and Kyle Cloud. Alternate pallbearers are Clarence Neadeau, Conrad Neadeau and Daniel Barrett. His honorary pallbearers are Ashley Neadeau, Jessica Neadeau, Kayloni Freemont, Lily Freemont, Jan Kelly, Carmen Roy, Koreen Neadeau and all his friends. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Red Lake, MN following his Wednesday services.
