St. Mary's 9th Annual Mission Parish Festival held on Sunday in Red Lake - P11

Another Parish Festival in the books and it was a great success. We served approximately 150 plus people and had more than enough food.

The walleye was cooked by Al Branchaud and Paul Beaulieu. The volunteers were outstanding who served the food. Behind the scenes all morning were Sam, his parents Stacy and Pat, Angela, Laura, M Sue Antone, myself and Mike.

Everything went very smooth and fell into place along with a beautiful sunny day. We gave away lots of raffle prizes including a framed Patrick DesJarlait print, 2 rooms along with water park passes at Seven Clans TRF, Walmart gift cards, quilts, kitchen items (electric skillet, crockpot, electric griddle), Bemidji restaurant gift cards, car washes and many more items.

The drawing for the kids had great items also.

The leftover fish that was not used was donated to the Red Lake Women's shelter and the other box will go to another organization tomorrow.

I want to thank everyone who helped in anyway or brought a dish to share. See you next year for the 10th Annual Parish Festival.

Charmaine Branchaud
